On the second day of what may be Julian Assange’s final appeal hearing in the UK, the Crown Prosecution Service, representing the US government, countered the arguments presented by the defence on Monday. The defence was then given the opportunity to rebut the prosecution’s arguments. At the conclusion of the hearing, the two High Court judges overseeing the appeal hearing, announced that they will issue their decision in the future, which may be in several weeks or months. Both the defence and the prosecution were given deadlines to submit the relevant documentation. This report includes statements from Craig Murray, former British ambassador, and Rebecca Vincent of Reporters Without Borders.
