I enjoyed the interview very much! Peter always makes a lot of sense!
It’s great to see Peter getting around more these days. You won’t find a lot of academics as articulate, compassionate, and conversant with the most critical questions of our time as he is. I try to get everybody I meet to watch or read The Untold History Of The United States. If they haven’t, it’s almost certain their understanding of the “American Experiment” will be limited at best and full of distortions.
Tthinking about the world we would have had if Henry Wallace had been allowed his rightful place as F.D.R.’s successor is heartbreaking. It gets even worse thinking about all the good things Kennedy was doing, or preparing to do in his second term.
Outrage is wasted if it doesn’t lead to action. What we’re seeing now in the aftermath of the Covid disaster and the televised lynching of George Floyd is long overdue. A whole generation has been radicalized and mobilized overnight, and this time the revolution is being televised. Free Julian Assange now and we might just have time enough to turn things around before the planet is ravaged beyond repair.
“Look what’s happening out in the streets.
Got a revolution! Got to revolution!
Ain’t it amazing all the people I meet.
We’re Volunteers Of America!” 1969. Paul Kantner, Marty Balin, r.i.p.
