Malcolm Byrne is deputy director and research director at the nongovernmental National Security Archive based at The George Washington University.
He runs the Iran-U.S. Relations Project which aims at studying the two countries differering national perspectives on the basis of documentation from a range of archives and interviews with current and former policy practitioners. His most recent book is Iran-Contra: Reagan’s Scandal and the Unchecked Abuse of Presidential Power (Kansas, 2014).
