We will start off September by translating and dubbing an interview held by The Real News Network with former US Senator Bob Graham. Graham chaired the “Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities before and after the Terrorist Attacks of September 11 2001” that investigated the activities of the U.S. Intelligence Community in connection with the September 11, 2001 attacks. In this interview Graham talks about his findings on the failures and negligence by US intelligence services before the 9/11 attacks, the role of Saudi Arabia, the 28 redacted paged of the 9/11 report and many other topics that are seldom talked about in the mainstream press.

On the 17th of September 2016 demonstrations are scheduled to take place throughout Germany against the so called “Free Trade Agreement” known as TTIP (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership), which is currently being negotiated between the U.S and E.U. We plan to release a report on the grassroots actions of activists and organizers.
This report will also include a video that will feature in-depth analysis on “Free Trade Agreements” by Alfred-Maurice de Zayas. De Zayas is a leading expert in the field of human rights and international law, a retired high-ranking United Nations official, a peace activist, and since 2012 the United Nations Independent Expert on the Promotion of a Democratic and Equitable International Order (also known as Special Rapporteur), appointed by the United Nations Human Rights Council.

On this day we will release the third part of an event that was organized by the University of Arizona College of Social and Behavioral Sciences called “A Conversation on Privacy” and which hosted Edward Snowden, Glenn Greenwald and Noam Chomsky. Do people care about their privacy? Has technology improved or damaged our privacy? What impacts did the NSA disclosures have on society?

Our last video of the month will feature an interview that we held with Prof. Noam Chomsky and will focus on historical developments that seldom, if at all, appear or are discussed in Western mainstream historical literature. How did the US establishment view fascist figures such as Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini before the global war? Was the US complicit or did it actively support fascism in Europe?
These questions and many more will be addressed in this video.
acTVism Munich plans to continue translating the event organized by the University of Arizona, “A Conversation to Privacy” that hosted Edward Snowden, Glenn Greenwald and Noam Chomsky. We Munich believe that privacy is a central ingredient to democracy and creating awareness on it on a global scale is of utmost important for the future of human freedom and liberty. We will also continue to translate an event organized by the New York Public Library (NYPL) that hosted Yanis Varoufakis and Noam Chomsky. This event took place on the 26th of April, 2016, and focused, amongst other issues, on the state of European democracy; the underlying problems confronting it and the solutions required for meaningful change.
Secondly, acTVism Munich will gain full access to the German government’s national press conference in Berlin in the fall of 2016. This will provide us an opportunity to pose critical questions directly to the German government which will foster awareness on a host of issues seldom discussed in the mainstream media. The attempt is to translate and synchronize the question and answers in English as well.
We lack technical and financial resources to translate the events and press conference mentioned. Furthermore, we will only be able to attend the press conference once in 3 months due to the high costs of travelling and lodging.
Lastly, acTVism Munich received Edward Snowden’s confirmation about participating in a future event known as “Freedom & Democracy: Global Issues – Connecting the Dots”. This Event is planned for 15. January 2017 and plans to bring leading experts together to discuss the connections between various issues and reveal the system at work. We believe that we can only arrive at viable solutions by increasing public awareness of the principal and structural faults of our system.
We lack the necessary financial and technical resources to execute the projects, trips and events mentioned above. Since we are a non-profit and independent media outlet that has a strict policy against accepting advertisements, government or corporate support – we depend only on you, the public.
