We then assess international developments in Syria after the fall of Bashar al-Assad, focusing on the policies of the EU and Germany towards Syria. After that, we discuss the latest developments in the war in Ukraine, including the recent assassination by Ukraine of General Igor Kirillov, the head of Russia’s nuclear, chemical and biological defense forces. Finally, we shed light on the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza and how history will remember the West’s role.
